Welcome To The Religion Network!
I'm Lisa Bowman, editor of The Religion Network, a multi-faith Web site. We provide inspirational
quotes by exploring a new theme every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This site is offered in the
conviction that inspiration can be found in all spiritual faiths, and furthermore, that finding the
commonalities among the world's religions is more healing than pointing up their differences.
Religion as an institution is precious gift, blessing individuals and uplifting communities.
However you choose to worship, I hope this site enhances your journey.

Today's Theme:
The good and gracious Lord is His infinite expression hasn't created
two anythings alike. Thus it will be for all eternity. So it behooves us
to revel in the differences between us and other people, be they
physical, emotional, belief systems or personalities. With each
person, He is saying, "This is my beloved child, and this is my
beloved child, and this one, too. Love them and you love Me."
We can begin by making a mental note that each person we
encounter is another chance to practice loving life's variety.
Life is one long rehearsal in the art form of loving.

As rain falls equally on the just and the unjust, do not burden
your heart with judgments, but rain your kindness equally on all.

_________
I am a red man. If the Great Spirit had desired me
to be a white man he would have made me so in the
first place. He put in your heart certain wishes
and plans, in my heart he put other and different
desires. Each man is good in his sight. It is not
necessary for Eagles to be Crows. We are poor,
but we are free.

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit;
there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there
are different workings but the same God who produces all of
them in everyone. To each individual the manifestation of the
Spirit is given for some benefit. To one is given through the
Spirit the expression of wisdom; to another the expression of
knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the
same Spirit; to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit; to another
mighty deeds; to another prophecy; to another discernment of spirits;
to another varieties of tongues; to another interpretation of tongues.
But one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing
them individually to each person as he wishes.

If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because
he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears,
however measured or far away.
Henry David Thoreau (1818-1862)

Father Mychal's Prayer
Lord, take me where You want me to go;
Let me meet who You want me to meet;
Tell me what You want me to say, and
Keep me out of Your way.
