Dear Readers,
Summer days are waning. Did we all remember to relax? Not so much, here in the
Bowman household. We're in the throes of moving. Boxes are everywhere. Moving
is when you find out that you still have too many possessions. I think belongings
multiply like rabbits while we sleep. That, or the Sorcerer's Apprentice has lost
control again of his magic. We keep giving away yet there's still more to box!
I am reminding myself that everything can be done peacefully, remembering
that relaxation is in the mind and heart, not at the beach; that rushing about
only achieves swirling air; and that peace is found in the arms of God.
The quotes on today's site are helping me relax. I hope they help you, too.

Long warm days...
The pace of life slows...
A time for picnics and rest in the shade...
Lord,
help me to rest a while in the cooling shade of your presence.
Slow down my restless heart and fill me with gentle
compassion for all your people.
Amen.

To be at one with God is to be at peace...peace is to be found

within one's own soul.

better from a place of relaxation.
