Angel's Wings
Angel's wings and secret things
my Father shows to me,
when all alone I sit with Him as quiet as can be.
The secrets of the universe, He whispers very low.
He speaks as if He does not want
another soul to know.
But in my heart I feel inside, they are for all to hear,
He only waits to share them with
His children who draw near.

"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send in my name,
He shall teach you all things..."
John 14:26

___________________________
Kate Buxbaum-Prado, one of eight children, was born in Riverdale,
Maryland to a "beautiful, quiet, intelligent, stay at home" mom and
an "outgoing, talkative writer" of a father. In her poetry, she seems
to reflect them both. She agreed to share some of her life story as
well as some of her poems with The Religion Network:
KATE:
"As I look back now, my father was the biggest influence on
my whole life. As I grew up, washed daily in the atmosphere of
creativity, I did not understand any of it. I thought everyone's
dad could build beautiful gardens, write romantic verses, paint
pictures that would take your breath away, and be emotional
over the simplest pleasures of life, such as the first spring
blossom after a cold winter."

My Father
When I was small my father traveled,
and then he would come home.
But even when he went away
we never felt alone.
We did not have to see him
to know how much he cared.
He would always be our father,
and his love was always there.

"I will never leave thee nor forsake thee."
Hebrews 13:5

KATE:
"My only dream was to get married, have at least ten children,
and be someone's wife. That is what I grew up with...
I did marry when I was 23 years old, but by age 31, realized
Mr. Right was not a dreamer like me. My hopes were further
dashed when I discovered I would never be able to carry a
baby full term. As I watched the battle over a woman's
right to not have a child, my children were lost to miscarriages."

Choices
A woman down upon her knees,
in tears prayed all alone.
Beside an empty crib she asked
for a child of her own.
While in another part of town
there comes an angry cry,
"I do not want this baby," and so the child dies.
How different these two souls are,
as heaven hears each voice.
For to one it is a baby,
to the other, just a choice.

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made..."
Psalm 139: 14

Patience
The sun slowly rises over the valley draped
in darkness where I now dwell,
bringing joy into my spirit
as a sign from heaven saying, "All is well."
If I had given up hope yesterday,
when all I felt was sorrow, loss and pain,
I would have never seen the answer to my prayers,
or smelled the fragrance after the rain.

"Rest in the Lord, and wait patienely for Him..."
Psalm 37:7

KATE:
"After 14 years of working in property management following my
father's death in 1991, and another failed marriage along with
another
lost child, I finally gave up and asked God what it was He
wanted
me to do. I then started to write.
It began with a small book
of verses
called "Angel's Wings and Secret Things" in the fall of
2005. In 2006
I moved to Hagerstown, Maryland, surrounded by the
beautiful
Appalachian Mountains. I help my sister, Rev. Rosemary
Redding,
who is pastor and founder of His Heart Ministries, Inc., to
feed and
clothe the children I never was able to have, and care for
the elderly.
I now call myself a writer
and work under the name of
Prado's Pen."

Climate of Love
Hush and you can hear the stirring of wings.
Listen with your spirit and
you can hear the angels sing.
Praise God and enter His climate of love.
Breathe in the stillness of His peace
and drink His blessings
from above.

"So that the priests could not stand to minister because
of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord."
1 Kings 8: 11

Guardian Angels
Soft fluttering of wings,
their transparent figures standing
on the edge of endless time called eternity...
sleep neither day or night as heavenly guards,
watching daily over you and me.
zzz
"For He shall give His angels charge over thee,
to keep thee in all thy ways."
Psalm 91:11
